Stiwdio Cylch is run by mother and daughter team Meg & Nicki, from a studio based in Conwy, North Wales. Directly translated, this means 'Circle Studio' and we really liked the simplicity of this, as our passion lies in supporting a circular fashion and textiles economy.
Meg has a successful business as a stylist and slow-fashion advocate and has worked in the fashion industry for a number of years. Together with fine art graduate Nicki, Stiwdio Cylch exists to educate and inspire. Best known for their upcycled collection Slow Stitch, offers a curated collection of up-cycled children's clothes, using playful designs and recycled fabrics.
Instead of mid-season collections our studio focuses on smaller capsule collections during the year where the aesthetic draws on playful designs, fresh palettes and of-course deadstock fabrics and recycled threads.
We value a circular fashion system and realise that the current linear fashion system is a broken one. Existing fashion should be seen as a valuable resource and our philosophy is to keep fashion in circulation through swapping, sharing, mending and on-selling.
